1 US holster w/ “US” in oval on the flap. 1 US holster marked “ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL 1904” having “US” in oval on the flap. 1 Early US holster having an embossed “US” in oval on the flap. 1 Spanish American War canteen having leather sling. 1 Mills type cartridge belt, no buckle. 1 Tin insert for a militia cartridge box. 1 European short sword likely dating to the late 1800s. 1 Pewter canteen having stopper & chain. 1 Early folding knife having a carved wood handle. 1 Side knife crafted from a Krag bayonet. 1 Belt ax on oak haft having tack decoration. Daily rations were stored here and any other food that they could get, also small items that couldn’t fit in their Knapsack were stored here. 3 Excavated early socket bayonets dating to 1780-1810. (Haversack) The Haversack was used to carry all the food and utensils for cooking by a civil war soldier. 3 Inserts for M1858 US cartridge boxes. 1 Pair of Civil War era binoculars measuring 7" in length, no case. Complete w/ case that has a detached lid. & varied group includes 1 pair of Civil War era binoculars measuring 6" in length closed. 2) CIVIL WAR & POST CIVIL WAR MILITARIA & RELATED ITEMS. CONDITION: items show moderate to heavy wear. 1 Lock for a US Springfield dated 1863. 1 Bag containing several assorted dug relics including a spur, musket band, part of a shoulder scale & more. 1 Case containing Union Cavalry excavated relics.
